The following is a news release from the Duson Police Department: 

The Duson Christmas Parade scheduled for Saturday, December 17, 2016, has been canceled due to a lack of participants.

Santa Clause will make his annual appearance this year by visiting the Duson Park located adjacent to the Duson Community Center at 310 Avenue Au Nord in Duson on December 17, 2016, from 12:00 Noon until 3 PM.  Pictures will be offered with Santa and burgers and drinks will be sold to support the Duson Welcoming Committee.

At 12 Noon Saturday, December 17^th, Community leaders will also honor the 2016 Parade Grand Marshal Professional Boxer Rock Hard “Mighty” Mason Menard who has exhibited his talent and represented South Louisiana in a very admirable fashion.
