Lafayette, La. (KLFY) – Whether it’s a TV, a smartphone or a laptop, hundreds of people are already hitting the stores to get those black Friday deals for those holiday items.

Hundreds waited in line to get those Black Friday deals, hoping that the items they’re looking for are on sale.

“I’m here for an apple watch and a couple computers,” said Irby Crulee.

“A laptop and a TV,” said Pilar Morris.

“We’re shopping for a good deal on a TV,” said Kristine Villien

Best Buy opened their doors at 5 p.m. Thanksgiving Day, but some arrived much earlier hoping to be the first in line.

“I’ve been here since nine o’clock this morning,” said Crulee.

And once they entered the store they knew exactly what they wanted.

Maka Borja was interested in the Galaxy Gear to see if it was something the whole family could use.

“I think it’s pretty amazing,” said Borja, “My son wants it so I’m actually taking a look at it to see if it’s something I can use myself.”

And while some are first timers when it comes to Black Friday shopping, others consider it a tradition.

“It’s awesome,” said Villien, “You get all your Christmas shopping done in 24 hours and you’re good to go, that’s it, you’re done.

“We made it a family day with the kids,” said Friday Oleske, “It saves enough money to allow us to buy gifts for other people.”
