A man is dead after an early Sunday morning shooting on I-10 near the Perkins Road exit in Baton Rouge.

WAFB TV reports the incident temporarily shut down the Interstate around 4 a.m.

Baton Rouge Police responded to the the shooting that happened between exit 156B (Dalrymple Drive) and exit 157A (Perkins Road).

Police said, 22 year old Ketron McDonald, was shot inside a Nissan Altima by someone in a passing vehicle.

He died at the scene, according to police.

His vehicle was then struck by another vehicle, police said.
