IBERIA PARISH, La.(KLFY)-  An 84-year-old man was killed this afternoon in Iberia Parish.

State Police Troop I spokesman Thomas Gossen said at about 3:15 p.m., the driver of a Ford Escape failed to yield a stop sign at La. 675 near Landry’s Seafood. 

The Escape was hit of the passenger side by a Ford Explorer, Gossen said.

The driver of the Explorer died at the scene. He has been identified as Reving Broussard Jr. of New Iberia.

Gossen said Broussard was not properly wearing his seat belt at the time of the crash. 

The occupants of the other vehicle were taken to a local hos pital for minor injuries.

This crash remains under investigation.
