Acadian Ambulance hosted its annual Medic of the Year luncheon Wednesday at the Cajundome.

More than 1200 guests were in attendance.  

Mike Richard, a field supervisor stationed in Crowley, was regcognized as Paramedic of the Year.

Tyler Weaver, who works in Lake Charles,  was named EMT of the year.

Senator Fred Mills, who represents District 22 from Parks, La. was today’s Master of Ceremonies. 

This year’s keynote speaker was Elizabeth Smart, a survivor and advocate for change related to child abduction.
