EUNICE, La. (KLFY)- The Eunice Fire Department is hosting a blood drive in honor of a Eunice man shot an killed outside his home Thursday morning.
Eunice Fire Chief Mike Arnold said the drive will be held Saturday, Dec. 29, from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the central fire station location at 100 park Ave, Eunice.
Scott Daville, 56, was the father and father-in-law to three Eunice firefighters, Arnold said.

“So this hits us pretty hard,” the chief said Friday. The department decided to hold the event in honor on Daville and his family.
Daville was shot in front of his home early Thursday morning in what appears to be an attempted auto theft, police said.
He died later that day, Eunice Chief Randy Fontenot said. A memorial service for Daville will be scheduled at a later date, according to his obituary.
At this time, no suspects have been taken into custody.
