Officials with the Eunice Police Department say recent help from the community has improved their policing.

Chief Randy Fontenot says Eunice residents have taken a stand against crime and are now working hand in hand with the police department to help solve investigations more quickly.

He calls it ‘social pressure’. It’s something he’s been pushing for a while now but is just now seeing take place.

Fontenot adds that the best way for civilians to help police is ‘if you see something, say something.’
