Fire crews from around Acadiana worked to put out a house fire, Wednesday night,  at a home on Resha Road near the intersection with Wilderness Trail.

Lafayette Fire PIO Alton Trahan said fire crews saw heavy flames when they arrived.

He said surrounding streets had to be blocked off due to the heavy flames coming from the residence.

Multiple fire crews including Lafayette, Carencro, Breaux Bridge, and Duson worked to extinguish the blaze.   

No injuries were reported, Trahan said. 

The cause of the fire has not been released.
