A FLASH FLOOD WATCH has been issued by the National Weather Service through 8am Monday morning. A slow moving low pressure system will swing a round of storms through the area later this afternoon, possibly continuing through the evening hours. Rainfall totals could be in the 1-3 inch range area-wide, with isolated higher amounts of 4-6 inches. This rain will be falling on already saturated grounds, increasing the flooding threat.
DO NOT DRIVE through high water, especially when you cannot see the road. It only takes 6 inches of water to sweep you off your feet. Twelve inches of water can sweep away a vehicle.
