PORT BARRE, LA. (KLFY)  A Fest For Vest Fundraiser dedicated to keeping police officers safe, was held Saturday in Port Barre.

All of the proceeds from vendors and food booths are going directory towards the purchase of new, properly fitting body armour vests for local law enforcement agencies.

Port Barre Police Chief Deon Boudreaux said today’s event was a good reminder that police officers need protection too.
