DUSON, La. (KLFY) – Two separate incidents caused delays for commuters heading west on the interstate this morning.
A garbage truck caught fire around 7 a.m. on I-10 West between LA 93 and LA 95, the Scott and Duson exits.
The fire shut down the left lane for about an hour as crews worked to put out the blaze.
State police reported only minor injuries. The cause of the fire is under investigation. .
Another incident, a semi-truck flipping over into the median, occurred on I-10 West near the scene of the fire.
It also happened around 7 a.m.
DOTD reported overall traffic congestion from these two incidents reached four miles in length before all was clear.
No injuries have been reported in the 18-wheel crash.
