BREAUX BRIDGE, La. (KLFY) Family members of the 22-year-old Reese Hebert, who died Thursday while fishing in Bayou Teche, have set up a GoFundMe account to assist with funeral costs.
Agents with the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries recovered the bodies of Hebert and 20-year-old Timothy Guidry, both of Breaux Bridge, who went missing after not returning from a fishing trip.
“Reese died a hero trying to save Timothy. This tells you the love he had for the people around him,” the GoFundMe page states.
Family friend Christy Chandler Freeman, posted the GoFundMe account Friday, stating his parents needed help with funeral expenses because they didn’t have a life insurance policy on him.
