  • Many people have been killed in a mass shooting at a mosque in Christchurch, New Zealand. Police say four suspects are in custody 3 men and a woman.
  • The coroners Office has identified the victim in Wednesday nights homicide as 18 year old Christian Roper. His autopsy is scheduled for later today and police are still searching for a suspect.
  • Breaux Bridge police are looking for two vehicles they believe are connected to a shooting that happened Thursday on east Patin street. Two people were injured in the shooting.

  • Lafayette mayor-president Joel Robideaux held his 3rd annual parish wide address Thursday evening. He preached unity throughout the parish and discussed a variety of topics including the economy, LUS, no kill animal shelter by 2020, drainage and development.

  • Nearly 66 thousand people in Louisiana were accidentally paid double tax refunds because a file ran abnormally causing the duplicate refunds.

  • Tonight, Lafayette police will conduct a sobriety checkpoint within the incorporated limits of the city. It’ll happen between 9pm and 3am.

  • Big Brothers Big Sisters of Acadiana will hold their annual bowl for kids sake Saturday at Rock n Bowl de Lafayette. The fun goes from 8:30am to 8:30 pm.
