- Parents of a five year old at Truman Early Childhood Education are speaking out after their daughters teacher allegedly yanked their child by the arm and grabbed her by the face. The teacher has been charged with battery and is on administrative leave.
- Police in Crowley are now investigating a Wednesday night shooting as a murder. The victim of the shooting died at hospital. No suspect have been named. Police say they are following up on leads.
- The Roy house is the only home on the national Registry of historical places that UL owns. The house was built in 1901 and needs repairs. The Center for Louisiana studies is working to raise the money to restore the Roy.
- On tomorrow voters head to the polls in parts of Acadiana. In Scott voters will decide whether or not to pass a one percent sales tax that would help with city improvements.
- Over in Jeanerette, voters will name a new mayor out of the three candidates and the next Alderman for Ward four out of two candidates.
- In St. Mary parish, voters will decide whether they want to renew a millage for hospital service in district 1 that improves, maintains, and operates all hospital facilities.
- In the village of Pine Prairie, residents will vote on approving a new two percent sales tax, that will ultimately fund improvements of the village.
- The LSU Tigers and Michigan state tip off tonight’s March madness games, and you can watch right here on KLFY. That game starts at 6:09pm.
