- 40 year old Jessica Olds is facing charges after authorities say she became combative and committed battery on two nurses at a local hospital.
- A local vape shop owner say he opposes a bill in the works, that would change the legal age to purchase tobacco products in the state, to 21. He believes it could lead to a black market of sorts for tobacco products.
- A school district among the top ranking in the state says student attendance does have an impact on test scoring. Attendance has to be a priority for students to get the instruction they need to excel.
- A New Orleans teenager has been accepted to 115 colleges and universities across the nation. She also received over three million dollars in scholarships.
