The following has been released by the governor’s office:

BATON ROUGE – Today, Governor John Bel Edwards announced his appointments to several Louisiana boards and commissions.

Gov. Edwards announced the following appointments:Board of EthicsUnder Louisiana law, all appointments to the Board of Ethics must come from a list of nominees received from a nominating committee made up of the presidents, or their designees, of Centenary College of Louisiana, Dillard University at New Orleans, Louisiana College, Loyola University at New Orleans, Our Lady of Holy Cross College at New Orleans, Our Lady of the Lake College at Baton Rouge, Xavier University of Louisiana at New Orleans, New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary, Saint Joseph Seminary College, and Tulane University.

Elizabeth A. Alston, of Covington, was appointed to the Board of Ethics. Ms. Alston is an attorney and a member of the Association of Professional Responsibility Lawyers. She will serve as the representative of the 1st Congressional District.

  1. Wade Shaddock, Jr., of Lake Charles, was reappointed to the Board of Ethics. Mr. Shaddock is the President, Director, and Trustee of the H.C. Drew Estate. He will serve as an at-large representative on the Board.

Lidell Smith, of Shreveport, was appointed to the Board of Ethics. Mr. Smith is a retired attorney and will serve as the representative of the 4th Congressional District. Louisiana Forestry Commission

  1. Gradon Clemons, of Amite, was appointed to the Louisiana Forestry Commission. Mr. Clemons is the owner of Clemco Land and Cattle, LLC, and Storage Depot. He will serve as an owner/executive manager of interests owning and operating timberlands.

Wayne L. Hagan, of Hammond, was appointed to the Louisiana Forestry Commission. Mr. Hagan is the owner of Timberland Management Services, Inc. He will serve as an owner of farm lands interested in reforestation. Lafourche Basin Levee District

Jeffery L. “Jeff” Henry, of Donaldsonville, was appointed to the Lafourche Basin Levee District. Mr. Henry is the owner of Jeff’s Bar and Lounge. As required by statute, Mr. Henry was nominated by a legislator representing a legislative district located within the Lafourche Basin Levee District.State Boxing and Wrestling Commission

James J. Brennan, of Lafayette, was appointed to the State Boxing and Wrestling Commission. Mr. Brennan is the owner and CEO of Celtic Crane, LLC. He will serve as an at-large representative on the commission.Terrebonne Levee and Conservation District

  1. “Lee” Shaffer III, of Schriever, was reappointed to the Terrebonne Levee and Conservation District. Mr. Shaffer is the President of Carbotec. As required by statute, Mr. Shaffer was nominated by a legislator representing a legislative district located within the Terrebonne Levee and Conservation District.

Water Resources Commission

David B. Culpepper, of New Orleans, was reappointed to the Water Resources Commission. Mr. Culpepper is a Geologist and a Principal at the Culpepper Group, LLC. He will continue to serve as a Geologist with expertise in Ground Water Resource Management.Grand Isle Independent Levee District

David J. Camardelle, of Grand Isle, was reappointed to the Grand Isle Independent Levee District. Mayor Camardelle is the Mayor of the Town of Grand Isle and was nominated by a legislator, as required by statute.

Kelly J. Besson, Sr., of Grand Isle, was reappointed to the Grand Isle Independent Levee District. Mr. Besson is the owner of R&K At Your Service, LLC, and was nominated by a legislator, as required by statute.

Arthur A. Bellanger, of Grand Isle, was reappointed to the Grand Isle Independent Levee District. Mr. Bellanger is retired and was nominated by a legislator, as required by statute.Children’s Cabinet Advisory Board

Gina L. Womack, of New Orleans, was appointed to the Children’s Cabinet Advisory Board. Ms. Womack is the Executive Director of Families and Friends of Louisiana’s Incarcerated Children.

Michael W. Victorian, of Baton Rouge, was appointed to the Children’s Cabinet Advisory Board. Mr. Victorian is a Senior Client Executive at CMA Technology Solutions, Inc.

James A. Sprinkle, of Evergreen, was reappointed to the Children’s Cabinet Advisory Board. Mr. Sprinkle is the Director of Families Helping Families and will serve as its representative on the Board.

Jennifer Karle, of Natchitoches, was reappointed to the Children’s Cabinet Advisory Board. Ms. Karle is the CEO of Cane River Children’s Services and will serve as the representative of the Louisiana Association of Childcare Agencies.

Dana R. Hunter, of Baton Rouge, was appointed to the Children’s Cabinet Advisory Board. Ms. Hunter is the Executive Director of the Louisiana Children’s Trust Fund and will serve as its representative on the Board.

Sherry S. Guarisco, of Baton Rouge, was reappointed to the Children’s Cabinet Advisory Board. Ms. Guarisco is the Executive Director of Louisiana Partnership for Children and Families and will serve as its representative on the Board.

Eric D. Griggs, M.D., of New Orleans, was appointed to the Children’s Cabinet Advisory Board. Dr. Griggs is the President of the Doc Griggs Foundation and Doc Griggs Enterprises, LLC.

Gina E. Eubanks, of Zachary, was appointed to the Children’s Cabinet Advisory Board. Ms. Eubanks is the Associate Vice President and Vice Chancellor for Extension at LSU and Southern AgCenters. She will serve as the representative of the LSU Cooperative Extension Service on the Board.

Gerralda Davis, of New Orleans, was appointed to the Children’s Cabinet Advisory Board. Ms. Davis is the Executive Director of the Louisiana Primary Care Association and will serve as its representative on the Board.

Charles C. Coleman, M.D., of New Orleans, was appointed to the Children’s Cabinet Advisory Board. Dr. Coleman is a Faculty Child Psychiatrist at LSUHSC-New Orleans and will serve as a representative of the Louisiana Council of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry

Lynn V. Clark, of Monroe, was appointed to the Children’s Cabinet Advisory Board. Ms. Clark is the Executive Director of the Children’s Coalition for Northeast Louisiana.

Lynette W. Celestin, of Houma, was reappointed to the Children’s Cabinet Advisory Board. Ms. Celestin is a Social Services Director and Families in Need of Services Coordinator with the City Court of Houma. She will serve as a representative of Louisiana Families in Need of Services Association.

  1. Amanda Brunson, of Baton Rouge, was reappointed to the Children’s Cabinet Advisory Board. Ms. Brunson is the Executive Director of Prevent Child Abuse Louisiana and will serve as its representative on the Board.

Davondra I. Brown, of New Orleans, was appointed to the Children’s Cabinet Advisory Board. Ms. Brown is the State Maternal and Child Health Director with the March of Dimes and will serve as its representative on the Board.

Ivy B. Starns, of Baton Rouge, was reappointed to the Children’s Cabinet Advisory Board. Ms. Starns is an Education Program Consultant with the Louisiana Department of Education and will continue to serve as the Department of Education’s representative for Special Education.

Carmen Weisner, of Baton Rouge, was reappointed to the Children’s Cabinet Advisory Board. Ms. Weisner is the Executive Director of the Louisiana Chapter of the National Association of Social Workers and will serve as its representative on the Board.

Kathleen S. Richey, of Baton Rouge, was appointed to the Children’s Cabinet Advisory Board. Ms. Richey is the President and CEO of LouisanaChildren.org. She will serve as the representative of the Louisiana Court Appointed Special Advocate Association.

Kahree A. Wahid, of LeCompte, was reappointed to the Children’s Cabinet Advisory Board. Mr. Wahid is the Director of the State Head Start Collaboration Project and will serve as its representative on the Board.

Jill Slack, Ph.D., of New Orleans, was appointed to the Children’s Cabinet Advisory Board. Dr. Slack is a Literacy Director with the Louisiana Department of Education and will serve as the Department’s representative of Academic Programs including Early Childhood.

Ernise Singleton, Ph.D., of Baton Rouge, was reappointed to the Children’s Cabinet Advisory Board. Dr. Singleton is a Course Choice Program Manager with the Department of Education and will serve as the Department’s representative of Educational Support Programs including Secondary Vocational Support.North Lafourche Conservation, Levee and Drainage District

Robert J. “Bob” Pitre, of Thibodaux, was appointed to the North Lafourche Levee and Drainage District. Mr. Pitre is the owner and manager of Triple P Farms. He was nominated by a legislator representing a legislative district located within the North Lafourche Conservation, Levee and Drainage District, as required by statute.

Timothy J. Allen, of Houma, was reappointed to the North Lafourche Conservation, Levee and Drainage District. Mr. Allen is the General Manager of Apache Corporation and was nominated by a legislator representing a legislative district located within the North Lafourche Conservation, Levee and Drainage District, as required by statute.Louisiana School for Math, Science, and the Arts

Joseph E. “Jed” Cain, of Mandeville, was appointed to the board of directors of the Louisiana School for Math, Science, and the Arts. Mr. Cain is an alum of LSMSA and is a Partner at Herman Herman & Katz, LLC.Louisiana Real Estate Commission

Patrick A. “Rick” Roberts, of Mandeville, was appointed to the Louisiana Real Estate Commission. Mr. Roberts is an Associate Broker at REMAX Elite and will serve as the representative of the 1st Supreme Court District.

Eloise A. Gauthier, of Lafayette, was appointed to the Louisiana Real Estate Commission. Ms. Gauthier is a broker and the owner of Gauthier Real Estate, Inc., and will serve as a representative of the 3rd Congressional District.

Liacia M. “Lacy” Baaheth-Sylvain, of Gonzales, was appointed to the Louisiana Real Estate Commission. Ms. Baaheth-Sylvain is a broker and the owner of Lacy Baaheth, LLC. She will serve as the representative of the 5th Supreme Court District.Caddo Levee District

Patrick W. Harrison, of Shreveport, was reappointed to the Caddo Levee District. Mr. Harrison is a Managing Partner at Sound Fighter Systems, LLC. As required by statute, Mr. Harrison was nominated by the legislators representing districts within the Caddo Levee District.

Kandi R. Moore, of Belcher, was reappointed to the Caddo Levee District. Ms. Moore is the CEO of Specialists Hospital Shreveport, LLC. As required by statute, Ms. Moore was nominated by the legislators representing districts within the Caddo Levee District.

Carolyn C. Prator, of Shreveport, was reappointed to the Caddo Levee District. Ms. Prator is a retired political consultant. As required by statute, Ms. Prator was nominated by the legislators representing districts within the Caddo Levee District.

Helen G. Smith, of Gilliam, was reappointed to the Caddo Levee District. Ms. Smith the President and CEO of Shreveport Federal Credit Union. . As required by statute, Ms. Smith was nominated by the legislators representing districts within the Caddo Levee District.Louisiana Board of Drug and Device Distributors

James G. “Jim” Delatte, of Ponchatoula, was appointed to the Louisiana Board of Drug and Device Distributors. Mr. Delatte is the State Government Affairs Director of Takeda Pharmaceuticals U.S.A., Inc. He was nominated by Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of American and is actively engaged in the pharmaceutical manufacturing industry, as required by statute.Atchafalaya Basin Levee District

Daniel R. Hebert, of Plaquemine, was reappointed to the Atchafalaya Basin Levee District. Mr. Hebert is involved in Environmental Sales with Etec and will serve as a representative of Iberville Parish. As required by statute, Mr. Hebert was nominated by a legislator representing Iberville Parish.Louisiana Commission on Law Enforcement and Administration of Criminal Justice

John F.K. Belton, of Ruston, was appointed to the Louisiana Commission on Law Enforcement and Administration of Criminal Justice. Mr. Belton is the District Attorney with the 3rd Judicial District.

David R. Kent, of Covington, was reappointed to the Louisiana Commission on Law Enforcement and Administration of Criminal Justice. Mr. Kent is the President & Principal Consultant at the Kent Agency, Ltd.Board of Supervisors of Community and Technical Colleges

Charles T. Strong, of Sarepta, was appointed to the Board of Supervisors of Community and Technical Colleges. Mr. Strong is the retired Regional Director of the Northwest Louisiana Technical College. He will serve as a representative of the 4th Congressional District.
