- Mutliple police agencies are searching for the suspect believed to have shot an Abbeville police officer late Wednesday night. Call Abbeville police or state police if you know any information on his whereabouts.
- A couple is facing charges after allegedly setting a car on fire for the insurance money. Courtney Crouchet turned himself in. Teralyn Broussard is still wanted.
- Crowley police are still investigating a shooting that happened last week that left one person dead. So far all they know is several suspects drove by and shot the victim. So far no arrests have been made.
The FBI is still searching for 15 year old Domeanna Spell of Port Barre, and has placed digital billboards across several states. Authorities believe she may be traveling with 47 year old Cory Disotell.
The sentencing for suspended Lafayette city Marshal Brian Pope has been pushed back yet again. The new sentencing date has been set for June 19th.
More than 30,000 people in Louisiana have been booted from the medicaid program. A new state computer check determined they earn too much to receive the taxpayer-financed health insurance.
The groundbreaking of Lafayette’s second dog park took place Wednesday. The new park will be located at Beaullieu park. The park should be complete by end of August.
Firefighters are on the scene of another church fire in Opelousas. Fire district three is currently fighting the blaze at Mount Pleasant church on highway 182. It’s the 3rd in St. Landry parish this week.
