A comfortable morning in Acadiana starts off your work week with temperatures dipping into the lower 60s this Monday.  Hot and quiet weather is expected for the afternoon as highs range in the upper 80s under a mix of sun and clouds.  The slight humidity will make the air feel like the lower 90s.

Starting late Tuesday, multiple upper level disturbances will move through Acadiana along with a slow moving frontal boundary.  This setup will cause rain chances to increase for the area and stay at 50% or more for several consecutive days.  Scattered showers and storms are likely late Tuesday all the way through the Mother’s Day Weekend.  Several inches of rain are possible, spread over this 5-7 day period and we could see a few strong to severe storms on certain days.
