LAFAYETTE, La. (KLFY) Each year in early fall, Acadiana hunters are asked to clean out their freezers, and donate their frozen fish and game to an vent called Hunters for the Hungry.
Since the drive’s creation, Bob Giles of Giles Automotive and the Opelousas Lighthouse Mission has collected over 100,000 pounds of food.
Because meat products are expensive and difficult to preserve, Giles partners each year to collect donations to feedy the homeless in our community.
This year organizers are hoping to collect more!
