On Friday, July 27, 2018, Investigators with the Broussard Police Department received information through a joint investigation with the Crowley Police Department. They issued an arrest warrant for suspect Roy Thompson for indecent behavior with a juvenile.
According to Broussard Police Chief Brannon Decou, the crime occurred in Acadia Parish.
This arrest is a result of a continued investigation stemming from information obtained during interviews where the suspect was believed to have inappropriate contact with a juvenile, Decou said.
Investigators received the arrest warrant and responded to Pearl Driving School located at 4016 US 90 today where the suspect was located and subsequently taken into police custody without incident.
Roy Thompson, 60, of Eunice, was arrested on the warrant this morning for indecent behavior with a juvenile. Thompson was booked into the Lafayette Parish Correctional Center, and currently held on a $20,000 bond.
