Mardi Gras in Lafayette is just a fun filled, family-friendly event that draws tens of thousands of people to the city with costumes, parades, and carnival rides.
It’s just fun for everyone, young and old. We are just happy to be part of it.
King Gabriel Michael Judice and Queen Evangeline Lauren Guillot will reign over the Mardi Gras festivities this year in Lafayette.
“It’s a tremendous honor to be able to represent Greater Southwest Louisiana Mardi Gras Association and all its 20 crews, crew members, and float riders as king Gabriel the 79th King of Carnival.” Judice said.
“It means a great amount to be Queen Evangeline this year because it goes back to alot of family history and my past cousins who have been Queens and still brings back all of our heritage and it’s still very surreal.” Guillot said.
I just hope everyone has a safe and fun filled Mardi Gras and I’m also extremely humbled to be given this opportunity.
