IOW, La. (KLFY)- An 32-year-old Iowa man is behind bars aggravated assault with a firearm and simple battery charges after he allegedly became irate over workers showing up at his home during evening hours.

On Saturday  the Jefferson Davis Parish Sheriff’s Office received a complaint regarding an assault with a gun.

The complaint was that workers for a rental company had been threatened by a client when the employees went to retrieve equipment from the suspect’s residence.

The victims reported that the client, later identified as Christopher Vaccaro, was upset that the workers arrived at his residence during the evening hours, the Jeff Davis Sheriff’s Office said.

The victims reported that the suspect became irate and obtained a handgun, then threatened the workers. One of the workers reported that Vaccaro had also poked him in the chest.

The case was assigned to the Investigations Division which resulted in an arrest warrant being obtained for Christopher Vaccaro.

 A Jefferson Davis Parish Patrol Deputy, on July 27, 2018, located Vaccaro at Vaccaro’s residence. Vaccaro was arrested without incident and booked into the Jefferson Davis Parish Jail.

There is no bond set at this time.
