A junior high school basketball game Monday night in St. Mary Parish turned into a mid-court brawl between players. 

St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s detectives saud students from B. Edward Boudreaux Middle School hosted Morgan City Junior High for a basketball game in the gym when an altercation broke out between the players that spilled into the bleachers.  

The fight occured shortly after the game, authorities said. 

Detectives need the public’s help and ask that anyone with who may have caught any of the altercation on video to contact the Sheriff’s Office Investigative Unit at (985) 384-1622.

Detectives say anyone with information can remain anonymous.
