Our very own bad to the bone, extraordinary, frickin awesome Passe Partout host Gerald Gruenig brought the house down over the weekend at the annual Zydeco Extravaganza.
Gerald took center stage and performed with other local musicians in a group theycall Gerald Gruenig and Gentilly Zydeco.
He play’s accordion and lead vocals, with Thad “Dr. Chad” Duplechin on rubboard and backup vocals, David “Pokey” Guidry on guitar, Lee Allen Zeno on bass and Greg Gordon on drums.
Born and raised in “Nawlins” as he calls it, Gerald says he fell in love with the accordion about two years ago and purchased his first at Vermilionville.
And, now we can’t get him to put it down!
