Fire crews responded to a house fire early this morning in the 300 block of Madison Street.
The homeowner told authorities there was heavy smoke in her bedroom. Firefighters arrived and discovered the heavy flames coming from the home. The woman was safely outside.
Fire crews were able to extinguish the fire within thirty minutes. The home sustained heavy damage. A metal warehouse building next door sustained fire damage as well.
There were no injuries reported and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
