LAFAYETTE, La. (KLFY) UPDATE: Lafayette Police say the unidentified victim in a shooting that happened Sunday afternoon on Philomine Street has died.
Police say a suspect has still not been identified.
ORIGINAL: Lafayette police say a man was shot multiple times Sunday afternoon on Philemon Road, off Walker Road.
Public Information Officer Karl Ratcliff says it happened around 5:15 p.m.
The male victim was transported to the hospital with multiple gunshot wounds and is currently listed in critical condition, according to Ratcliff.
No suspect(s) have been identified, however police are encouraging anyone with information about this shooting or the suspect involved to contact the Lafayette Police Department or Lafayette Crimestoppers at 232-TIPS
