What local woman will appear on Jeopardy for $1000 Alex? Who is Alix Basden, a 2018 Lafayette High School graduate.   

Basden, who now studies Economics at the Univeristy of Notre Dame in Indiana, will begin her appearance on Jeopardy Thursday, April 25, according to her Facebook page. 

As of now, she is forbidden from saying how far she gets or discussing any of the questions.

Basden says she auditioned last year and then had an in-person audition in June.

In February, she was notified by producers that she had advanced and would appear on the show. 

Faculty and Staff at Lafayette High are preparing to host a watch party at the school.
