Jeremy Authorlee was sentenced today to 30 years at hard labor in the death of Mr. Brandon Lyons.

Lyons was shot to death in the doorway of his apartment on Marigny Circle on May 27, 2015. 

Mr. Authorlee was originally charged with second degree murder but pled guilty to the charge of manslaughter on December 20, 2017. 

The case was prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney Michele Billeaud and the lead detective on the case was Lt. Drew LeBlanc with the Lafayette Parish Sheriff’s Office.
