LAFAYETTE, La. (KLFY)- One suspect has been arrested in an ongoing homicide investigation dating back to June 21.

Jamirus Freeman, 18, was found shot to death in the 1000 block of Magnolia Street.

Authorities have arrested Shelby Darby, 26, on one count of first degree murder and attempted first degree murder. A 17-year-old victim was also shot, police said.

A teenage girl was indicted in August as an accessory to Freeman’s murder by a Lafayette grand jury.
