Lafayette Police arrest two in connection with 3 school burglaries

LAFAYETTE, La. (KLFY)—Police arrest two in the connection with three school burglaries, authorities said.

According to a news release, the suspects entered the campuses of L. J. Alleman, S.J. Montgomery, and Lafayette High schools in the early morning hours of August 21.


Everett Broussard and Samuel Carter were charged with multiple counts of simple burglary and simple criminal damage to property.

According to a spokesperson with the Lafayette Police, the suspects caused over $9,000 in damages to the schools’ property which included electronic equipment and instruments.
