LAFAYETTE, La. (KLFY) Two people were injured in separate shootings Friday night, Lafayette police said.

Police say they are investigating a shooting reported at 9:30 p.m. in the 100 block of Monroe Street.

Police spokesman Karl Ratcliff said officers arrived to find a male who had been shot and left in the roadway. He said the victiim was taken by ambulance to the hospital where he is listed in stable condition.

Dispatchers received another call around the same time about a female who had been shot outside of an apartment complex in the 800 block of MLK Drive.

According to Ratcliff,  a 17 year old black female suffered minor injuries as a result of the shooting.

He said the victim was treated and released from a local hospital.

No suspects have been identified and both shootings remains under investigation.
