LAFAYETTE, La. (KLFY) – Police are currently investigating the discovery of a body near a field in Lafayette this morning.

Cpl. Karl Ratcliff said the body of a black male was found around 8 a.m. in the 300 block of Gauthier Road.

The cause of death is currently under investigation. KLFY will update this story when more information is available.
