LAFAYETTE, La. (KLFY) – Lafayette Police are looking for the man who allegedly robbed the St. Jules Credit Union at gunpoint this afternoon.

The incident happened around 12:48 p.m. in the 1600 block of N. Bertrand Drive.

Sgt. Kyle Soriez said the suspect, who is believed to be a man, walked into the business wearing “a white long-sleeve shirt, dark colored shorts and shoes, a dark colored wig and possibly a fake beard used to conceal his face.”

Investigators also believe the suspect was armed with a handgun. He ran out of the building after obtaining an undisclosed amount of cash.

Soriez said no one was injured during the incident.
