A Lafayette man was arrested Wednesday after police said a patrol officer found a gun, cocaine, marijuana and more than $20,000 in cash during a traffic stop on I-10.
According to police, a patrol officer conducted a traffic stop on I-10 near N. University Ave and requested the assistance of the LPD Tactical Narcotics Team.
At the completion of the investigation, police located approximately 8 grams of high grade marijuana, a little under a kilo of cocaine, over $20,000 in cash and .45 caliber handgun.
38-year-old Arthur Gotch of Lafayette was charged with manufacture/ possession of sch. II, possession of sch. I, possession of firearm by convicted felon, illegal carrying of a weapon and transactions involving proceeds.
