LAFAYETTE, La. (KLFY)—The owner of Dixie Cab said he’s reached an agreement with Lafayette Consolidated Government.

However, tonight, LCG’s Chief Communications Officer said, no resolution had been worked out.

Tuesday, the City-Parish Council voted to suspend all vehicle for fire permits of Dixie Cab.

The Council said the company has failed to pay nearly $56,000 in red light and speeding fines.

Dixie Cab owner Salah Yousef said he spoke with LCG’s Chief Administrative Officers.

He had stated that his company and the LCG had reached an agreement to work towards paying a court-ordered collectible balance, minus late fees.

Cydra Wingerter of LCG confirmed to KLFY that Yousef spoke with LCG and he made a payoff of about $4,200. But she said from LCG’s perspective there is no agreement.

According to the council’s ruling, the suspension of the of the company’s permits began Monday and is to remain in effect until all fees owed to LCG are paid in full.
