BATON ROUGE, La. (KLFY) – The Louisiana Department of Children and Family Services released an estimate of DSNAP benefits handed out in response to the historic flooding in August.
Nearly $80 million in disaster food stamps were issued in 21 parishes that were impacted.
About $49 million in DSNAP benefits were handed out, and regular SNAP households received about $32 million in disaster related benefits.
