May is Motorcycle Safety Awareness Month and on Satfurday the K-Dog Foundation hosted its annual
motorcycle safety awareness event at Progressive Baptist Church.
The foundation was founded in 2009 by Amanda Simmons after her son was killed in a motor vehicle crash.
Since then, she created a platform that brings attention to the challenges motorcyclists face.
“Well often the public, or anyone that’s on the road, are not paying attention. they don’t see the bikers or the bikers don’t see the motorists. Before you act make sure you know your location. Look around, check your surroundings, and just make sure that no one is around you, or in your blindside.”
