LAFAYETTE, La. (KLFY)—Local Cub Scouts are honoring Veterans by planting blueberry bushes at the Veterans Clinic.

The Lafayette community-based outpatient clinic will be welcoming three dens of Fatima’s Cub Scout Pack 446 to plant the bushes at the clinic on Ambassador Caffery Parkway.

The scouts are working to become the rank of “Wolf” which requires planting a tree as part of their community service requirement as they work their way to the highest award in Cub Scouts, the “Arrow of Light”.

Several fathers in the scouting dens are veterans and suggested the project.
