A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Linton J. Brooks, 72, at 11 a.m. on Saturday, January 27, 2018, at Our Mother of Mercy Catholic Church in Church Point with Rev. Emmanuel Awe, as celebrant.
Visitation will be held at Our Mother of Mercy Catholic Church in Church Point and will begin on Saturday at 8 a.m. and will continue until just prior to the service time.
A recitation of the Holy Rosary will be held at 10:15 a.m.
Interment will follow the church service and will be in St. Edmund Catholic Cemetery in Branch. Mr. Brooks passed away on Friday, January 19, 2018 at Acadia-St. Landry Hospital in Church Point.
Mr. Brooks is survived by his wife of 47 years, Alice Sam Brooks, and children, Keisha Brooks Jones, Michael Brooks and Jayden Jones.
