LAFAYETTE, La. (KLFY) – Longtime News 10 anchor Blue Rolfes has been named the new Director of Communications for the Roman Catholic Diocese of Lafayette.

The Diocese made the announcement in a news release Wednesday afternoon.

Blue will manage communication for the Bishop and the Diocese and supervise all communication staff.

Blue had been working with KLFY since 1979. Her last newscast was on March 1, 2017.

BLUE: “One of my main goals in this new job is to make the Diocese as accessible as possible to all of the people, the parishioners of the catholic churches throughout Acadiana. There are a lot of good things going on in the diocese and we want to get the news. We also want the peole who are members of the diocese and members at churches throughout the diocese to feel they can reach out to anyone at the diocese anytime they are in needand we will be able to provide that assistance to them as soon as possible.”
