Congressman Clay Higgins stopped by News 10 yesterday to reflect on the passing of 41st President George H.W. Bush.
Higgins says he never met the former President, but had great respect for him.
He says President Bush will be remembered for his many years of service to his country, his devotion to family, and his competitive spirit.
Higgins says his office has expressed official condolences to the bush family through traditional and social media.
” [He’s] just as an American patriot. It’s our role to be respectful and express condolence for the family and to reflect fondly upon the best memories that we have of our former President.” said Higgins.
Higgins says he’s not sure if he’ll be able to attend Bush’s funeral, which depends on his congressional obligations.
