UPDATE, 1:15 p.m.: LUS crews identified the source of the leak near the intersection of Louisiana Ave. and I-10 and expect to have a fix completed by 2 p.m. While no official boil advisory has been issued at this time, LUS Spokesperson Alex Antonowitsch said any time residents lose water pressure, they should consider boiling their water for a full minute before using it for cooking or drinking needs.

ORIGINAL POST: LAFAYETTE, La. (KLFY) — Lafayette Utility Systems crews are out looking for a possible water line break in northern Lafayette after residents have reported very low water pressure this morning.

The areas affected appear to be around the Pont des Mouton, Gloria Switch, and Butcher Switch roads. LUS says if you should see unusual bubbling or puddling in your yard to call their dispatcher at (337) 291-5740.
