Police say the man used the same method to carry out the robberies.
Corporal Paul Mouton explained although Barnes did not display a weapon when entered all three of the business he did give employees, “the impression that he was armed by keeping his left hand on the inside of his hooded sweatshirt.”
Employees gave Barnes an undisclosed amount of cash during all of the robberies.
No one was injured during the crimes. Barnes is also accused of forging checks from one of his previous employers in January, according to Mouton.
Police arrested Barnes on February 23 and booked him into the Lafayette Parish Correctional Center on three counts of First Degree Robbery and one count of Forgery.
Mouton said the case remains under investigation.
