A New Iberia man was arrested in his involvement in a robbery at a bank ATM on Saturday in Broussard.
According to police chief Brannon Decou, David Darokey approached a person using the ATM and demeaned $20 in cash or he would shoot.
The victim refused and the Darokey went for the victim’s hand that had money.
Darokey then fled tearing off a piece of money.
A gun was not observed but was stated, according to Decou.
Darokey was found at a relative’s home and was arrested.
At the time of his arrest, he had crack-cocaine and a crack pipe.
Darokey was arrested and booked on First Degree Robbery, Possession of Schedule II narcotics and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, according to Decou.
