A man is now in jail after allegedly cutting a woman’s neck, according to the Lafayette Parish Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies recieved a call about a domestic dispute at a home in the 200 block of Falcon Drive on January 30, 2016.
Captain John Babin said responding deputies found a female victim with two large cuts to her neck, which was caused by Marion Noel Montes-Velasquez, 27.
Montes-Velasquez ran away before authorities arrived on the scene.
He was later arrested and booked with, “attempted second degree murder and also booked on outstanding warrants for (two warrants) failure to appear for arraignment for resisting arrest, and failure to appear for arraignment for possession of drug paraphernalia,” according to Babin.
