Authorities say a convicted child molester from St. Martinville arrested on federal child pornography charges suffered cardiac arrest while in jail.
34 year old Micah Sorbet who was being held in the St. Martin Parish Jail died six days after he was rushed to a a local hospital, a spokesman for the U.S. Marshals Office said.
The Advocate reports he was facing various sex charges in state court in Lafayette.
