LAFAYETTE, La. (KLFY) A male victim is in critical condition after a shooting tonight in North Lafayette.

Police say they received a call around 8:30 p.m. from a home on Happiness Street.

When police arrived they say the unidentiified victim was suffering from a gunshot wound. He was transported to a local hospital in critical condition, according to Mouton.

A second person was inside the vehicle when the shooting occurred and is being detained for questioning.

That person drove to the Happiness Street address, according to Mouton.
