OPELOUSAS, La. (KLFY) – A man who was wanted for two armed robberies in St. Landry Parish has been arrested, according to the Opelousas Police Department.
Pfc. Thad Leger said Charles Guidry, 25, of Opelousas, was one of two suspects who are accused of robbing a convenience store at gunpoint in the 1100 block of W. Vine Street on January 22, 2016.
Guidry was allegedly involved in another armed robbery that same day in the town of Washington with Felton Bocard, Adonis Mason, and a fourth suspect.
Bocard and Adonis Mason have been arrested and charged with the Robbery in the incident that happened in Washington, La. The fourth suspect in that case has not been arrested.
Investigators coordinated with the US Marshals and Guidry was arrested in Houston, TX on January 28, 2016, according to Leger.
Guidry was transferred to the Opelousas Police Department on February 2, 2016, to face charges in the convenience store robbery.
He will also face charges for armed robbery from the Washington Police Department.
No bond has been set for Guidry, whose bond hearing is scheduled for tomorrow morning at 9:00 am.
