A mother and son have been arrested by officers a second time in connection to a theft ring in Melville.

Melville police say that Jarrod Beard was arrested and charged with disturbing the peace, illegal possession of stolen things over $1,000 and aggravated assault

His mother Tammy beard was also arrested and charged with illegal possession of stolen items valued at $525.

Police say that the two were arrested several months back for theft in Melville.

Police Chief Anthony Moreau says that the investigation into the theft ring continues and more arrests are expected.
