Motion to bring back Vermilion Parish Superintendent fails

A motion to bring back Superintendent Jerome Puyau failed with a 4-4 vote at the Vermilion Parish School Board meeting, according to school board officials

Puyau was placed on leave in August after allegations made against him by former employees.

On Monday he was cleared of all allegations against him.

Puyau will remain on administrative leave until further notice.

School board officials say a resolution to place Paul Hebert as interim superintendent also failed.
